J20 6bt swap motor mounts?

Post by JeepManiac »

In my garage I have a VE 12v Cummins, NV4500 and 241 tcase. My truck is an 87 J20.

I have looked at threads and pictures. I know plenty of people have done this swap. There are videos all over YouTube

What I can't find is specifics regarding the motor mounts. Does ANYONE make off the shelf motor mounts for this conversion? This is my biggest hold up. Does anyone document and lay out how they did theirs???

Most of them I have seen use the stock mounts adapted to the vehicle getting the swap

I'll get a picture of mine tomorrow. I have stock dodge mounts. Brackets were welded to accommodate and adapt to the jeep frame.

I guess by tomorrow I meant tonight.

Simple design. Lose the stock "horns" and weld to the frame.
Hope this helps
