Hope it will be a bit warmer next time.

Glad to see all have pictures in their avatars now.

Big Foot Bar was a good short trip that threw in a lot of different driving scenarios. I think it will be hard to duplicate the same experience this close to town again. Unless someone knows something I don't. There are some good runs farther out in the desert, but they would be full day trips or overnighters for sure. :fsj:

That was a great run. I'd love to do that one again sometime. Yesterday, thanks to Kevin, I got lot of parts for the Jeep. Hopefully they'll be installed today for the most part. I have been looking at Sinker creek videos and that looks like a great ride. Not sure if my Jeep is ready for it but down the road hopefully. Should we start planning for the next run?

Here's one I think we can all do. I did it years ago with my CJ.

Sinker is fun. Not sure if it's accessible this time of year. We can certainly check. If not, we have assembled a good list of places to go. I agree, let's start planning.

Let's definitely check into Crutcher's Crossing too. I've never been through there, but the photos look amazing. It will have to be an overnight camp trip this summer though. It's quite a long way.

BTW, the photo above isn't Sinker. It's a rock crawling trail only.

Sinker looks a bit extreme for me  . At least in the Jeep. I'll tag along in my 4 wheeler though. :-bd

I have been wanting to do Crutcher Crossing for some time now. I think we could make a great trip with this one if we wanted to make it a two or three day trip. My plans have always been to make a loop through Crutchers Crossing and come out at Duck Valley Indian Reservation. Lots of cool places out there to hit. 45 Ranch, Coyote Hole, The Tules, State Line Camp to mention a few.

Watson, Haddie Ranch would be another good early spring trip. Could be done in a long day trip. Again, I think a lot better for a overnighter.

Hey you edited your post while I was replying.......

Yes, it would be best for at least a overnighter. Summer might be a bit too hot though. Spring or fall would probably be best.

I will go anywhere as far as I am concerned. Nice CJ Kevin, looks very nice. I have been wanting to hit the trails above Boise. Attempted it when I had Wrengler and I ended up frying my fuel pump and most of the brake system coming down the mountain, haven't tried it since.

Lots of roads in the foot hills. Use to be more, but some are closed now due to politics :x . Nothing real technical. I know a couple of roads nearby that would be fun once the snow clears some if they are still open to general use. Those could be great day trips. We could probably hit both in the same day.

Yea, I would highly recommend being very careful in the foothills. There isn't much there anyway. But don't go off road at all. And if the roads are excessively soft and muddy, don't go there.

In fact, these basic rules apply to all of us no matter where we are. Stay on trail and don't go cross country. Tread Lightly!

This will help us all avoid tearing things up and major legal problems.

Got the muffler back on, the radiator and water pump replaced, cb and radio installed. I think I am ready for the next adventure. Who has a place to go?

Are you saying you want mud or you want to stay away from mud?

Honestly it doesn't matter. Little mud won't hurt it may make trip more adventurous.

Well I will throw this one in. Danskin lookout by mountain home. Might get turned back by snow, or mud. Take the road as far as possible, hike the rest if close enough.

Motor bike or bicycle?

Should be fun to see just how far we can make it with the Jeeps anyway. Been wanting to see if the road over to Syrup Creek is open to the public or not. Could be a side trip and it looks interesting on the maps. I just can not tell if it is on BLM land or private. :x
