I wanted to go on a motorcycle. On a bicycle......not that interested.
One of my nurses has a cabin in Fairfield. She states that it snowed 16 inches few weeks ago but that it has melted now. However, it is snowing up there now too. :D

Yeah, snow for the next 3 days......

I have a Honda CT70 with a Lifan 125cc motor. Perfect for hauling behind a Jeep. Just need a small carrier.

My Jeep is getting some upgrades right now, and it will not be ready for about three weeks or so. I have a short list of things to do on it but some parts are out for three weeks. Should we start planning a trip? BigJ200 when is your new ride being adopted?

Ok, lets look at this one for mid March then? Danskin Lookout and lake. The lake looks like a pond, but should be cool anyway right....... :-bd

Danskin Peak 6694'. Both the lake and the peak are named for the canyon, which in turn may have been named for Peter Danskin, settler and miner of Danskin Creek.

Date: Mid March ?
Time: Early ?
Meet Place: (Proposed) Sunrise Cafe, Federal Way, Hwy 21
Destination: Danskin Lake, mountain, lookout
Estimated Duration: 1/2 day +
Distance/Time One Way: 44.11 mi : 1:30 (hr:min)

Works for me. Should we try to meet early enough for breakfast?

How about meeting at 7:30? Plan on breakfast at the Sunrise Café.

Do we have a date on your repairs HikoJeep? Weekend of March 8-9 going to be too early?

I have a friend that may tag along with us in his Grand Cherokee. Not sure what days he will be available yet though. I am open 8-9, 15-16, 21-22 as of now.

I think I will be ready by 8th or 9th. Parts are on back order and they said 2-3 weeks for them to get to me, and that was on the 10th. Rest of the stuff I can put back together in couple of hours.
7:30 is fine with me for the breakfast.

I guess I should spend more time on this forum, seems to be where the action moved to. I might be up for a mid-March run somewhere assuming my truck wants to cooperate.

Cool, I'll try to make it. Jeep wise I have a 71 J-4000 pickup and a 05 LJ Rubicon. Obviously I'll be driving the truck (or what's left of it) if it will cooperate. I don't really have a place to work on vehicles currently, so the poor truck hasn't seen much love lately. And yes, I'm in Boise.

Sweet looking pickup. Looks like a PTO winch? We might need on of those...... :-bd

Funny J trucks and Cherokee's are out numbering the Wagoneers here so far.

Yesterday we went for a hike where we usually hunt. It was muddy and slushy, wish I had Jeep done for it, at times my truck was little too big for it. Hope I get the parts soon, just checked they are still on back order :(

My parts are still on back order. Hopefully they'll have them soon. Broke a bolt on my water pump so I have that to fix (Removed the bolt, but auto parts had no gasket). Other than that I am good. If there is not a lot of snow I am good to go, planing my parts will be on time. :fsj:

Yea, the 90* JIC fittings are a very popular item. Hopefully, they get them in when he said they would. I am going to check some other places and see if they have their orders in yet. It will only take a few hours to build the hoses and get Hiko's Jeep back together.

The date and time seems fine, but if the weather over the next couple weeks is like it has been, the trail will be excessively muddy. And our rigs will destroy it with huge ruts. Who knows, it may just be sunny and dry.
