Cool! Now we have three FSJeeper's in the Treasure Valley. Could be a beginning of something good.

Cool, I think HikoJeep and I are going to try and meet up next weekend. Funny, we just got in contact with each other today too. It seems that if we email through the site it puts the email in the junk/spam folder. Shoot me a email and I will get back to you with details once we get it figured out.

George.

I enjoyed our meet today. It was great to meet some fellow FSJ owners on our home turf. Your Jeeps are real nice. I look forward to an outing soon. Let's make it happen. Lots to see and explore.

Next time, we'll take some photos.

Yes, I had a good time talking to you guys too.

A outing sounds good to me. I have a few repairs to do before that though. Here are a couple of posts I made on the ghosttown website if you want to check them out. Places I've been in my jeeps.

It was great seeing more FSJ fans, and your rigs are great. Since we are in such a good spirits about this I think we should meet before the snow melts. Maybe start planning an outing.
BTW any of you guys have and extra wheel I can buy? I don't have spare and I would like to have one before we go out. Old and banged up one is fine.

Before I feel safe going out on a trip I need to at least rebuild the carburetor and replace the fuel pump. Also my low range is not operational until I fix the cable or convert to the floor lever. Hope to get those things sorted next month. If all goes well.....

George.

I have a list of things to do on mine too. Not much. I should be ready in a few weeks. I will need to do a shakedown run or two as well.

We can certainly start discussing where we want to go this time of year.

Interestingly I made a list today too, and I was surprised how long it is. Mostly little things but still thing that need attention in this cold, may put most of them off until it is nice and worm at 40 F. Funny how 40F seems worm now.
Next time we for sure needs some pictures, I even remembered at the table yesterday but then got star dazed at the parking lot.

Well I guess we need a bucket list to begin with.

I have been wanting to do a few trips. Some I have done before.

Bigfoot Bar would be a good close in trip. Just down by Swan Falls. If nothing broke, would be a easy 1/2 day trip and does have some technical points. At least it did have years ago. Been a long time since I have been down there though so things may have changed. Would probably make a good shake down cruise for the Jeeps.

Longer trips that would be long days or overnight.

Trinity Lakes - High alpine lakes.
Atlanta, Id - Mining/ghost town, could be combined with Trinity lakes.
Jarbidge, NV - Old mining/ghost town just over the border.
The Arch - Deep desert natural formation.
Indian Hot Springs - Fastest flowing and hottest hot spring in Idaho. Isolated in the Bruneau River Canyon.
Watson, Or - Abandoned farming community on the slack waters of the Owyhee Reservoir.
Jordan Craters, Or - Recent lava flow field. Could easily combine with Watson.
Birch Creek, Or - Historic Ranch in the Owyhee River Canyon. Could be combined with Watson and Jordan Craters.

Well There are more, but I'll stop there. What you guys got?

This is a good list to start with and I would like to go see them all. Thanks for getting things started.

There are many others that I hope we can all go see as well.

War Eagle Mountain trail run is beautiful. Totally doable with our rigs. Great scenery.

Sinker Creek

Boulder City (up near Sun Valley) is a really beautiful place. Summer/fall only. Old mining town with a beautiful alpine lake. Camping trip.

Tiddie Springs is awesome too. Owyhees... Great day run and perfect for wonderful photos.

Miners Grave is perfect for us. Great scenery!

Leslie Gulch - Great for day or night runs. Camping.

Crutcher's Crossing

Five Bar

Edna Creek

Landmark Mine

Lots more later...

So much to see!

Ordered in the carburetor kit tonight and going to get a pump tomorrow. Hope to get them on this long weekend.

Going to get laid off work after the first of the year so guess trips might be up in the air for a bit. Not sure how things are going to work out. Hoping for the best though. :-bd
