Jackstand storage racks

Post by Hobart »

JACKSTAND STORAGE: I thought I’d share my solution to having jackstands cluttering up my floor and shelves. I picked a sort of useless wall-spot and mounted these racks. I used a 2x6 for the 6-ton stands and a 2x4 for the 3-ton stands and screwed them to the wall. Then I added 3-3/8 ceiling hooks and this is how it looks. I got the idea from seeing people selling laser-cut and welded jack storage systems, and figured I could do something cheaper. Since I had the wood, my total investment was about $12 at Menards. The 12-ton stands will just stay on the floor, since they are so heavy.

That’s cool. We are in process of purging and reorganizing our shop so ideas are good.

That’s a great idea. They take up so much floor space otherwise.
