Fun with Bulkhead Plates

Post by sonoraed »

I spend a lot of my time finishing a/c installations that someone else started.
One of the most trying situations is where a bulkhead is installed without thinking how the lines will be run or what other things will be in the way.

Here’s a good one, heater hoses are right on top of oil filler and trans dipstick.
To clear battery have to loop a/c lines around battery, it will work but some preplanning could have saved some hair.
vehicle is a 71 Jeepster , 4.3L TBI

Different truck, 63 C10 with Vintage Air Magnum, hot water valve is between firewall and bracket, the valve is ugly and don’t want it to show,as you see plate is to close to unit, lots of tube gymnastic.
