RIP Don S. He shared so much of his FSJ knowledge.

Really sad to hear he has passed. He was a member of the online FSJ community for 20 years (Here, IFSJA, the mailing list before IFSJA), and shared huge amounts of information for all of us. I never got the opportunity to meet him, but he was always pleasant to interact with online. :(

Oh my, this is sad news. :o Don will be missed by many I am sure. It is such a treat to know both him and Doris. They offered thoughtful feedback on the early Ouray FSJ Invasions. We back country camped with them a couple nights at South Mineral creek in 2004. Not at the FS campground, just above there is a place you can fit 2 or 3 vehicles in, set up camp and enjoy listening to the creek flowing 24/7. I bet Don is blazing new trails on some of those mountain passes now with a 401. RIP Don
