Body question

Post by Thetank »

I need some help. Doing a j20 build. Floor boards are toast. Replacing them. Both sides are gone and the doors bind up when closing. Can someone without carpet check their floor boards infront of the seats and tell me if they are level across or if they lean to the outside. I think mine have dropped but I want to confirm before I start cutting and welding.

I just did my floor boards and I noticed a slight pitch towards the door that starts at the last brace that runs from the front to back of the cab

What year is your J20? The floor changed in 1980.

Yes, the floor does drop slightly outboard from the outer seat rail. There were no changes to the floor in this area that I am aware of.
I used to name my FSJ’s after their previous owners, I realized I had too many with five named Rick.

Dang raccoons again!

Rust is a color too.
