I have used the search button and still don't have a clear answer. What are you guys using for a rubber seal under the stainless trim along the top edge of the tailgate glass?
I have a 73.
I think he's asking about the trim on the glass itself. Or was it gone by '73? I assumed it was glued on with some kind of sealant.
Sic friatur crustulum
'84 GW with Nissan SD33T, early Chev NV4500, 300, narrowed Ford reverse 44, narrowed Ford 60, SOA/reversed shackle in fornt, lowered mount/flipped shackle in rear.
Yeah. The trim that's actually on the glass. Held on by a couple screws to the lifter bar. I couldn't find anything so just used some black rtv. Gooped it in and then trimmed it clean when dry.
I thought I would use an inner tube from a ten-speed bike wheel if I could find one made from thin enough rubber.
Windows and wings have the same rubber padding between the glass and the steel. My rear window trim is loose
in the middle and gets hung up on the weather seal when opening.
