Window question

Am I doing something wrong here? Or is the window the wrong size.

Yep it’s for a 2 door Cherokee. I think the window is out of a 78 and older and not the 79 and older. I just don’t think it’ll work

the glass got thinner after a certain vintage ( probably not for the windshield and tailgate)... 79 or 80ish. I had a hard time many years ago to fit the window newer track to the old window, the old window was too thick... then found out later that the older windows were thicker. One way to lighten the load with lighter glass

So i did get a new piece of glass cut and put in.. The glass i had was to big for the application. With that being said i do have a the one piece glass with the original seal if anyone needs one. Im guess its for 78 and older.
