Headliner without foam board

Post by Triumph215 »

Did the early Wags have a normal fabric headliner without the foam backing board? I see backing board headliners appear to start in 1974. I thought I'd seen pictures of early trucks like that but headliner pictures showing what I'm trying to see aren't that easy to find. Can someone tell me more about this? I want to do away with the foam thing.
Thanks

My 70 came with a full fabric headliner with a bow system. It was completely dry rotted with some tears in it so it had to come down. I even found a couple mouse skeletons while pulling it down.

I labeled and kept all of the metal parts just in case I wanted to have a new one made up, but I am unsure if that is going to happen.

Great news and thank you. Any chance you remember how many bows there are? I'm going to have to start searching for them.
If you go a different route I'd be interested to talk with you about the bows you have.
Thanks !

Kaiserjeeps on the other site makes the headliners. You'll have to come up with the bows, though.
