My uncle bought new a 1976 Jeep J10. He died in 2008 and it has been in a barn every since. I will be bringing it out of the barn soon. It has 28k miles and all original and in very good condition. My cousin told me that her dad special ordered it with a blue paint and a red and white stripe down each side. I have not seen another with this color scheme and have not found the various color schemes available for that year. Does anyone know where I could find that information? I tried to load a picture but got an error code.
You can post pictures but they cannot be too large. If you are posting from your phone, they are probably too large.
Possibly you could resize using a desktop application like PixResizer (free) or post from your phone using Tapatalk, which (I'm told) will resize automatically.
You can search online for the dealer sales literature that Jeep gave away in 1976. The brochures would show the graphics that came with the option packages for that year. I would guess you have a custom paint scheme, added at time of sale. Dealerships would often add stripes and custom paint to help sell their cars - these would be unique to that Jeep.

Welcome. Sounds like you picked up a nice family legacy.
There was a red, white and blue scheme in 76 for the bicentennial or something for J10 & J20. I have also heard it was for dealers shop trucks or something. Vague I know but I'm old and it's been a while since I saw a picture of it. I have only seen one before and it was in a scrap yard in pretty sad shape.
