No they couldn'tve. It would compete with the Ram 1500 which corporate would not allow. Notice there is no talk of a new Dakota?

Its a custom one off build. Any time you build something 1 of 1 its price tag will be high.

They have the configurator up, but no prices.

I'd wager that $100K is a conservative estimate for that rig. There's a lot of custom work there.

There's a fair amount of chatter but no spy pics or corporate confirmation. The most encouraging thing I saw was before the release, the same "source" that confirmed the name Gladiator instead of scrambler also said the 2-door model was coming later and targeted towards utility and government fleet sales: survey crews, forest rangers, line inspectors, etc.
79 J-10 (The Money Badger) KE0LSU
304/Performance Fuel Injection TBI/MTA1/SP2P/Magnum rockers
T18/D20/D44s/33" Mud Claws
Grizzly Locker Rear
4" front spring drop, 5" rear shackle flip
Chevy style HEI (ECM controlled)
Dolphin "Shark" gauges in a fancy homemade oak bezel
3/4 resto, rotting faster than I've been fixing it.

Interesting news article I ran across.

Fiat Chrysler's CEO says he'll build a midsize Ram pickup if he can figure out how

https://www.foxnews.com/auto/fiat-chrys ... re-out-how

Explore the Fox News apps that are right for you at http://www.foxnews.com/apps-products/index.html.

I don’t see dodge doing it as it would cut into the gladiator sales. Or, maybe they wait and see how those sales go first?

I don't see the Dakota coming back, but maybe.

In Gladiator news, Dynatrac is running one at KoH and in preruns it was doing pretty well.

Some photos and info of it here: https://www.automobilemag.com/news/jeep ... g-hammers/
