Busy, yes. Out of trouble, probably not.

Gathering it up at 2.

Most of my trouble happens at home, sometimes it happens on the highway and occasionally it happens at work. I don't need any other place to go. ;) That is the history anyways...

It's here. The ground is so mushy we left it on the trailer until we can park it when the ground is froze.

Did you get it for 250 or was that just shipping? I bet it runs with a jump and a shot of starting fluid like a previous post stated. Keep us posted those are on my most wanted list so I'm glued...

We paid 250 and the seller drug it to the house on our trailer. I started it on Saturday! Fuel line quickly clogged up but ran it for about 90 seconds on starting fluid. Pretty exciting. :)

The Continental 226 is a great engine. Was used in Checker Cabs into the 60s and even later as an industrial engine. I'd leave it 100% original, if possible.

Quite a score. I'm sure you need another project.

Margarita is finally off the trailer. Brakes work as long as you have time to pump once first.

When you find gas that is so old and varnished that there is black goo plugging up the tank outlet and fuel line, it is time to drop the tank. I can get it dipped at a radiator shop in Cortez. Now shopping for a carb kit for Carter YF carb. Yesterday, I picked up a NAPA 12V electric fuel pump, 6 filters, 15' 5/16" hose, clamps, spark plugs and wires. Need to find a brass fitting for the tank. We destroyed the one that was on it.

Heck of a buy for a sweet piece of elderly iron. I'm not sure I could convince my dear bride to let me have 4th old Jeep on our paltry 2.5 acres though. Maybe if I hadn't sold the Ranch. Sigh . . . :(

You basically stole that I hope you know. My first wagon was a 62 and it was stock. It was also a 3 speed. I bought it with the intent on 4 wheeling it but, Living in L.A. at the time, it wouldn't go fast enough to go on the freeway so, it was pretty much a town car. That's when it starts. At least with me. I love the body style, wood strips in the bed which, by the way, is flat. I also love the room inside and the wheel base is pretty ideal for 4 wheelin. That's when I started updating the wagon so I could drive somewhere to go wheeling.A new drivetrain was in order along with P.S., and P.B., and a 4.0 h.o. and a aw4 4 speed tranny.A spring over and new BFG 33s, and it was worthy of freeway duty except the spring over left the steering a little funny but, I loved it and had it for 13 years. I bought another one even before I sold the first one. It's the reason I'm on this site, It's the only FSJ I have. It is far from stock though. What is your plan with it ? stock or modified ?

Wow! My dream Willys would be exactly this original color and this amount of patina, but the pickup style instead. I love how a little surface rust coloration looks on old dark green Jeeps. Classic.
