Keep posting up your exploits for all of us that can't be there. I check this thread each morning to see what new is happening. I just finished putting a new transmission and transfer case in my rig an hour or so ago. Maybe she will be ready for next year's meet!

Round up:
Monday - Yankee and Gov. Yankee was closed close to the top but still totally worth it. Gov was blocked by snow not too far from the end but it was just 100 feet or so after a nice turn around spot with an awesome view. We had cheese crisps and asian ribs as a snack.
Tuesday - Red Mountain run. We were happy (but not surprised) that our rigs were able to run it without vapor lock or other issues. "No hoods were rasied" on this trip.
Thursday we ran up Mineral creek and then up engineer pass and then down to Aninas Fork. We headed out towards Silverton.
Friday we headed up corkscrew then over poughkeepsie and back down mineral creek. We started with 6 rigs but one dropped out early due to overheating issues. We detoured up california pass to get to the summit. Coming down Poughkeepsie was a blast. We avoided the bypasses.
At the 'play hill' we took the harder line down. There were a few exciting moments for sure! After a long day we stopped at Maggies for a burger. This was one of the best days of the trip.
I did take a few pics and will post them up in the pics thread. I had a great time and I hope you all did too.
I only had one small issue with the Super Chief so this was probably the most trails I have done in one trip. Three solid days of offroading!
Trail list:
Engineer Pass
Mineral Creek
California Pass
Yankee Boy Basin (Blocked by snow near the top)
Governors Basin (Blocked by snow near the top)
Poughkeepsie Gulch
Corkscrew Gulch (First time doing this trail)
Imogene Pass
Last Dollar rd.
Animas Forks

I could use the tuner back here one of these days. I need to turn off my fans and do a little tweaking to the tranny shift points on the dually. No rush tho.

2nd year for us met new friends and reconnected with ones we met from last year...had a GREAT time looking forward to next already
tues---did the Silverton Durango Telluride asphalt loop ran into a bit of road construction (annoying but hey we're on vacation enjoy the scenery)
wed---yankee boy and governors basin we started with I don't know how many rigs but a good sized group for sure with firecaptain13 in the lead but rear oil seal problem forced a lead change to srobertsfsj. Had a lot of fun with this group with some great pics and shenanigans when we came upon a hood up FSJ'er
thurs--wheeled with will e and srobertsfsj with rstep's elbow out the passenger window of srobertsfsj rig up mineral creek and engineer pass then down animas fork...great spotting from rstep and srobert because I needed it in the FSD (full size dodge)
Did tradition hold true and the dates for next year get set around a campfire Saturday night?
With all the baby-having and weddings and stuff being taken care of this year (sucked up all my PTO), I'm going to block out the full week for next year.
