Well last year one of the original motor mounts finally gave way so I went ahead and replaced both mounts. One of those mounts failed already. I am a bit disappointed that a new part failed so quickly. I believe they were a AutoZone part so I can get my money back. The problem is I still don't have a good motor mount. So the question is does anyone know of a current good brand of motor mounts. I see that rockauto has a few options, but they all look like the same part to me. This last mount failed climbing a steep grade in low range, was not even getting on it just a steady climb. It allowed the motor to move enough to take a chunk out of the fan shroud. The original mount failed with the hammer down climbing a steeper grade after being in service for 40 years and it did not allow the fan to hit the shroud. I use the Jeep for all my outdoor adventures so I would like something that would last longer than a year. Any suggestions? Thanks, George.
Went through the same issue with the "stock type" mounts sold today. When through two pair, both of which failed in the first couple weeks. I finally spent the money on the prothane mounts and never had a problem again.

Not that I've ever noticed. Poly motor and trans mounts on three different Jeeps.
Good deal. I run poly on my WS6 T/A and it is more harshness, but it may be a different makeup of poly.
Could also be the long tube headers transferring some vibration as well.
