1989 Flex Plate with 727

Post by PappaE »

Just determined my flexplate is cracked. Trying to find a replacement, but all the parts places don't list a flex plate for an 1989. It's a 1989 with the 360 and the 727. Need some help!!!

Remain calm! All is well!

Look at the parts book here - https://oljeep.com/parts_man/88j.pdf

Says that it's a 33004361. I found at least one listing, likely there are others - https://www.transmissionpartsusa.com/Je ... 00a311.htm

Jeep switched to the Mitsubishi starter in those years, which would explain the different flex plate.

Excellent price. I did a quick search and see Napa has them for a lot more.

Summit has them listed as well last I checked, so worth checking them out also.
