Edelbrock

Post by hanger »

What is everyone’s opinion of edelbrock carbs? I have a 1406, it starts fine and runs decent for the most but will load up in town and fall on its face unless I blow the cobs out of it. Any suggestions.

I know people that love them and some who don't. Have you tuned it for your application? I run a holley truck avenger, I know holley's so the choice was easy for me.

They are tuned pretty rich from the factory for a 350-360cid engine. But they are pretty easy to do a quick tune on. You can't get them as exact as you can with a holley, but its a lot less work as you don't have to pull the float bowls off on an edelbrock.

Edelbrock sells a tuner kit that comes with different rods and such, and quite a few videos out there on how to best tune them.
