Good morning.
I am looking for some advice on managing Intake Air Temperatures (IAT).
I have done an LS swap and am overall happy with it. The engine is a 5.3L L33 from a 2006 Chevy Silverado. I have ceramic coated headers.
Engine coolant temps are consistently around 215 F, even when it is 100 F down here in Houston. So, no problem there.
My IAT is around 50 degrees above ambient temp. I'd love to draw air in from the outside. All the options I've seen involve cutting the splash apron/wheel well and relocating the battery.
I'm not against cutting it if necessary but I'm trying to keep it looking clean. Does anyone have a magic solution that I haven't discovered?
