Headliner Trim

Post by SoCalDemon »

Happy Saturday! I'm redoing the headliner on my '87 Grand Wagoneer, I have everything I need except the metal (?) trim piece that covers the seam above the passenger seat...any idea where I can find it? Thanks in advance!

It's plastic. Junkyard's the only place or maybe ebay or an ad in the Wanted forum.

I thought that might be the case, but was hoping China knocked it off...guess there wasn't enough volume.

Can you use a thin strip of wood to do the same?

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.

It's a T shape with the leg being an arrow head that locks into the inner piece. One would have to come up with a way to anchor it if using wood.

i got mine at floor and decor, i found a finish cap strip that fits in a locking channel for a flooring transition from wood to tile, you may check there it has the same t shape needed to support the headliner.
