A/C Low Pressure Switch - Where is it located?

Post by Greg72 »

My '89 Grand Wagoneer had great AC for the first few weeks after I bought it, but almost instantaneously it stopped blowing cold.

Seems almost impossible that it could have had a leak that drained the system SO fast, so I'm thinking it might be worth locating the low pressure switch and temporarily bypassing it as a quick diagnostic test to see if the cool air returns or not. I watched a few YouTube videos showing the low pressure switch being up high near the firewall on modern vehicles, but can't seem to figure out where it is located on the GW.

Anyone know where I should be looking?

EDIT:

Nevermind... someone sent me this pic. Passenger side on top of the inner fender liner... kind of hidden under a few other hosed bundled with it as they head up toward the firewall / heatercore area.
