83 J10 build finally finished

Post by Mudslider »

Hello, my 83 J10 is finally done. I’ve had it 22 years. It has underwent a massive transformation this round. It’s up to 38” tires. It got converted to a 360, th400 adapted to the original NP208. The axles are 14 bolt ff locked and 4.88 with disc brakes. The front is the stock dana 44 4.88 as well. 14” travel bilstiens, 38” articulation any wheel and heated seats lol. Rear gas tank conversion. Image

Nice truck....but....a Jeep project actually finished? You had to have missed something. Not seeing a winch on the front, but the bumper is ready for one.

Lol. Sooooo true!! The winch went bad from sitting unfortunately,(boooo) but plans to get another are on the menu. It’s not fully done but this phase of getting everything in there, driving and stopping with all things functional is met. I had the motor rebuilt and it was a year with just me redoing it to get it right. I love driving it and going on a store or something people tell me their stories of childhood or family member that had one. I think it’s truly the best part of driving it.
