Baseline Sniper Tune?

Post by Anvil-3 »

I swear I’ve seen it before here but I can’t find it, so forgive me….

I have a 2bbl Holley Sniper on my 89 GW (stock AMC 360), I had previously had the AFR at like 12.8 for idle, which has gassed up the oil and I’ve learned is FAR too rich. There’s an idle, cruise and WOT AFR to fill in as well as some other basics. Looking for what people set theirs at, I have seen anything suggested from 13.6-14.2 just for idle.

Is there a base tune that anyone suggests for an initial setup or have a pretty good tune file they would share?

It previously ran fine but I think idle may have been too low or the ultra rich ARF caused it to stall when coming off throttle on occasion.

Thanks everyone

13.5-14 is about right for idle

What do you run for WOT timing? I think I slapped about 32 on there but didn't base it on much of anything other than generic guidance from the manual
