You have the wrong part.
The extra terminal on the bottom goes to the neutral safety switch. You can see this on the wiring diagram from the TSM.
Direct replacement is the Standard SS582 or equivalent

If you leave the wire disconnected, the Jeep will start in drive. The solenoid will ground through the bracket instead of the terminal. Up to you.
