Is there a place (recommended) to buy a brown dash (pad) that matches this '80 J-10 (aftermarket)?

Thanks,
Jim

You can try BJ's Offroad. I think they still have dash pads.

What is the OHM reading for a sending unit for this Jeep ('80 J-10)?

Full ?
1/2 ?
Empty ?

I am going to drop the tank and replace it but need to find out. I googled and don't have a book yet.

Thanks,
Jim

Ok dropped the tank and put a new sender in today.

Ordered a rebuild carb kit for the J-10 (70 bucks). The guy said (NAPA) it was a heavy duty carb (Fish/Game ordered this vehicle new) off the 360.

I tried to remove the driveshaft today (to make it easier in dropping the tank) but I did not have the right socket or ??

Question-what socket is needed to remove the factory U-joint straps?

Thanks,
Jim

5/16 box end wrench works best for me with a large screw driver to keep it from turning. It needs to be 12 point. When I reassemble, I put one drop of blue Locktite on each bolt... ;)

Thanks, I'll try it.

I thought I did use one. IT looks like a outward Torque bolt but I will try again.

Thanks,
Jim

Are there replacements like a regular bolt head type? Is it 1/4 x 20 ?

Will a MC-2100 be ok to use on the J-10 w/a 360? Not sure what size it is. Since Ashley is going to use the Edelbrock 1406 I will have an already rebuilt MC-2100.

The 2bbl on there now is a heavy duty one (per NAPA) and the rebuild kit is 70 bucks (already bought but not open). Does not look like a MC-2100 in any way.

I can take a pic of it if need be. Just not sure if the one on there now is for any specific purpose.
