It was hailing so bad!!! Sounded like it was going to brake a window on the waggy and also sounded like some one trying to rip into her as well!!!

Well the shock fiasco numbed our spirits, so we are heading home a day early. :(

Swapped ecm's and that helped a bunch with both power and mileage. It's running great.

Made it back home without event.

Averaged around 13.4 mpg in the little v6. Pretty disappointing on both the mpg and the power.

Planning a 8.1L/allison swap....

8.1? Power will be a non-issue, but you better get used to about 8mpg. My uncle had a 2500HD with one. TONS of power, but even with the aerodynamics that it had (Better than a lifted FSJ for sure), he averaged 9.5mpg. Town or HWY. He traded it in for a Duramax after a few years and averaged 16-18.

I have an 8.1 in my suburban, gets about the same mileage as my 401 on the cat. 10 to 12 if take it easy on the pedal. However, that 8.1 can pull anything. :-bd
