8.1? Power will be a non-issue, but you better get used to about 8mpg. My uncle had a 2500HD with one. TONS of power, but even with the aerodynamics that it had (Better than a lifted FSJ for sure), he averaged 9.5mpg. Town or HWY. He traded it in for a Duramax after a few years and averaged 16-18.
I have an 8.1 in my suburban, gets about the same mileage as my 401 on the cat. 10 to 12 if take it easy on the pedal. However, that 8.1 can pull anything.
