I bought the TSC brand Black Diamond Media and found that the 20/40 grit was a little large and clogged instantaneously. I am going with a finer grit to see if that corrects usage. Any of you have any input or suggestions? Thanks.
The drier helps keep most of the moisture out.
Yes, I have one and love it. got mine used. I found that I can only use the sand as anything courser will clog fast. Wear LOTS of protection.
I acquired a plastic screen (looks like something from a prospecting store) that sits in the top of a 5 gal bucket. It has 1/8" screen in it and makes reusing the sand easy. Laying a tarp down or working on a slab will make it easier to reclaim it.
Mine clogs too. Dry air, screen everything first, and I found the black beauty type stuff at harbor freight works really good, its really fine. I also took the nozzle off and built my own with a ball valve and some redneck engineering. Basically built a room in the shop with a window and blast from the outside. A local shop owner had one like this and its great! No need for a mask and when you are done just sweep the extra up and recycle it (screened of course).
We have that exact same blaster from Harbor Freight.
I also bought the better dead-man valve from them, and a soda blaster adapter.
We have to blast the wood T&G in our "Money Pit" (home), so we are going to try that out very soon.
In addition I need to blast the ceiling in my waggy, and I think I am going to do the floor too?
So if you use yours in the next week post up your results please.
If God is your co-pilot, you need to switch seats!
Read up before you soda blast your jeep. I heard its a PITA to neutralize afterwards. I was gonna get that soda kit too but that scared me away from it.
