I got to thinking about this. I ran a new choke wire with a fuse because the power to the choke was all kinds of hacked up.

This is what I removed:

Here you can see where the plug had a jumper in it:

I didn't really think about it too much (other than scratching my head as to why you would do this) until today and it hit me. The plug goes on the oil pressure switch for the choke. It seems that when the PO put the carb on, he just jumped the plug and then hooked the wire up to the choke.
