Been a while since I updated this. Been busy tearing her apart, didn't figure that was too interesting. She's finally down to the frame though, and I'm finally starting to make headway in the build so here she sits today.

Late last night I finally installed my new Grizzly locker in the newly rebuilt D60 rear. I wish I would have taken some pictures during the swap. But I got some good ones before and after I put the new Diff cover on. Ain't it puurrddyy.

I haven't tightened the diff cover bolts yet as you may be able to tell in the pictures, I'm just happy to finally have somthing going back together.

Well im headed To NoVa today to pick up another Piece of the puzzle. an 89 Grand Wagoneer Parts Vehicle. Its got running 360, and good tranny and t case. all i really need is the front doors and the seat brackets and a few other odds n ends, but i couldnt pass up the price. plus it looks like its in pretty decent condition, must be my Karma for overpaying for the J10

If anyone needs any parts feel free to let me know. i will most likely part out the rest of the truck, unless i get a wild hair and cut the fenders off, stuff some 33s under there and let her roar

ill post pictures this afternoon once shes back at the farm.

Well, she's home. The frame is shot... and there's a ton of body rot, but it runs perfectly, and minus not having brakes it drives well. I just needed some random parts off of it, it has power windows and locks, I'm wondering if anyone has swapped in grand wag front doors to gain power windows in their j trucks? I wanted the bucket seat brackets... but they are power, will that be a problem?

I am confused a bit though, it has what I believe is an np205 transfer case, not quadratrac... which is fine, but it has d44s front and rear, and is an 89... I thought these had amc20s in the rear? I could be wrong... I don't know quite as much about the wags....anyways of anyone wants the axles or transfer case or motor or any other odds and ends let me know.

Great build so far. To answer your questions on the power window/locks, Yes all parts are interchangable. You can swap out all the parts to your truck doors all the holes and provisions are there. You can also swap the doors themself if thats easier. The floorboards will also have the holes to mount the waggy seat brackets. Grab the seat wire harness from the waggy find where it hooks up under the dash - the truck should have a similar connector under the dash(if not its just two wires poss and neg). For the Transfer case, the 89 should have a np229 which has 2wd, full time 4wd in 4hi and is locked in 4lo.

If you do end up parting out the waggy let me know i could use the rear window washer sprayer and switch

89 should have a 44 in the rear with a factory limited slip. That's the year the jeep started to go all out on the Waggies with all the bells and whistles, limited slip, anti-sway bars, softer ride, rear wiper/washer.

You've got a nice ground up resto going- sweet work!
