I found out today that the front parking light lenses changed slightly in 1976? I think. I cannot mount the lenses that I have on these lights. So, now I am going to rip them out and install the newer plastic version. Headlights are working, front marker lights too. 5 quarts of oil in the rebuilt 360. Also a can of break-in fluid. Put 5 quarts fluid in rebuilt th400. No leaks yet. Next task is to run fuel line.

I wanted to make sure the new oil pump was working before I tried to start the rebuilt 360. So I used the shaft out of an old distributor and removed the drive gear with a hacksaw. It chucked into my drill and spun the pump until it made good pressure (a few seconds). Worked great.

Yes they did change. The older style had a clear front lens with a colored bulb. The newer ones have a colored lens.

I really prefer the look of the older ones, but not sure if anybody makes a replacement lens for them.

Priming the oil pump is always a good idea :)
