I always remember Pearl Harbor Day as it was my first day in the USAF. I joined in 1994 and got out in 1998.

I have a tradition of watching Tora Tora Tora on this day every year. It is sad that the number of WW2 vets left is shrinking every day. My Grand Father fought in Europe, and was then sent to the Pacific. He had some amazing stories. Unfortunately he passed away some years ago.

Being born and raised from West Virginia, we were taught remember Pearl Harbor Day and all those the perished that day, especially those from West Virginia that served on the USS West Virginia.

A lot of these pics have not been published. The last 5 pics are a flag that was flying over Ford Island which was the munitions depot on Dec 7 1941. I purchased this flag about 15 years ago and I took it with me to Afghanistan in 2003. It is believed to be the only US flag that was flying at PH on Dec 7 that the US Navy does not own.
