Come on home Bro. Your family here will welcome you home with open arms! You would look damn fine in an NPS ranger uniform and flat hat! ;)

Damn brother I just read this sorry to hear about your monetary loss! It is a bummer about your stuff, I guess that is why I live in a MH you can only add so much then you have to start paring it down again, or do like I do stop by the folks and drop it off!! I gave up on women years ago found out I like cats better! Since somebody else Quoted Kristofferson I throw this one out "That which does not kill me makes me stronger" !

Thanks so much for the well wishes my friends! I really missed being at Ouray this year, but rest assured I was having a good time blowing up C4, C6, TNT, and AN. I also got training on Bailey Bridges and mine clearing. While it's true that most Combat Engineers consider those last two to be the crummy 12B jobs, I'm in a Heavy (armored) Brigade, so all we ever do is demolition and Armor gunnery. While it's also true that those are the two most awesome things any regular combat soldier can do (blow stuff up and shoot big guns) I was really glad to have the opportunity to do everything associated with my MOS.

What's even MORE awesome is that I am back in Colorado for good! I've kept my eyes open on the roads and have seen a few Wags running around, but haven't recognized any other members yet. If any of you Denverites are in the vicinity of 44th and Wads watch for me walking between Pepboys and O'reilly's, that's how I spend a significant part of my day, haha!

Also, lacking full time employement at the moment, I've had lots of time to tinker on the Money Badger and finally got it dialed in for the altitude. With my 304 it likes #63 jets in the 4160 and ported vacuum over manifold vacuum. Since I live in Bailey I don't have to do emissions thank goodness. I'll have to source all the smog junk before I can move off the mountain.

One last note worth mentioning, while I have yet to find local regular employment, I have already snagged a super sweet girl friend, haha! It's great to be home and I can't wait to meet up with many of you guys more often!

Hey Brad! I "live" in Bailey but I'm "staying" in Wheat Ridge while I look for work. I've applied for the only job in Conifer (mail man) but that's a long hiring process even if I get the job. I'm most likely to find work in the Denver metro area so I'm looking hard on the west side, i.e. Coors, Coortek, Internation Paper, etc.

As for my lady friend, don't really know how it happened, but I do have a thing for tall redheads! :P

I was just at the Littleton post office on W. Coal Mine this morning, and they have a hiring sign for rural mail carrier....is that the same position?

Hopefully you'll find something to use all your skills.

Those tall red heads are like lemonade on a hot summer day... 8-) . Well happy to hear that you are HOME for good now. We had a ball in Ouray this year, I thing the tow monkey had most of it though. Your old man and Gunter were great to hang out with, but you need to see what is up next year.

I bet blasting and building bridges are two of my fun activities of my past career, all I can do now is watch and listen  , but what the heck it was fun while I did them. I hated some of the shoots because it usually took some time on foot and "Packed" to get there.

Stay close to those that give two .... about you and things will be just fine bro. Work will come sooner than you think.

at Ouray. :-bd

Maybe you can go over to Idaho Springs and get a job there blowing up those tunnels.. What a mess and traffic jam that was..
CYA next year hopefully. :fsj:
