I figured there would be a few differences here and there. What are the main differences between the TBI for the 8 and the 6?
Blake wrote:Yeah, TBI onto a the stock straight six shouldn't be a problem at all. I suppose you would just need to get the correct adapter plate and you would be set. All the wiring is the same regardless of what kind of engine it's going on.
Sweet. By this time next year it may not be exactly stock anymore. Is it hard to tune a mildly turned up motor?

Can someone give me the part # for the adapter plate for the GM TB to the AMC 2 barrel manifold
I am working on getting my parts together.

The throttle body is a different size, as well as the injector. ECU is the same as far as I know.

I'm pretty sure it's this one. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/trd-2204/overview/

Nah - a 4.3L v6 and the 5.0/5.7 had the same TBI. Different injectors.

Now a 7.4 454 had a slightly bigger TBI and bigger injectors. (which I think would be good for an AMC 401)

All of 'em had the same ECU (or variants thereof). The difference between a 7747 ECU for a v6 small block/big block is the BIN file.

Interesting. I would think the 4.3L would be more efficient with a smaller TB.

That the one that I was looking at. Just didn't know. Thanks
