Some of us do have only one vehicle and one tent. I volunteered my spot but got no response so I may still have room for a second tent and vehicle Thursday night through Sunday morning.

When I asked, both you and Casey offered up a spot. I'll pitch my tent in Casey's site. It has more shade.
We have just the two of us, car, tent, and a pop-up canopy in 47b if anyone needs to join us, reserved Monday- Saturday but we're thinking about spending a couple nights camping and exploring near Leadville and coming in to Ouray Tuesday. Last minute change in plans has us without a rig this year so we decided it would be fun to do something a little different for the first part of the week. Getting excited again after the initial letdown!

I don't blame ya.
So I have some space available in 46A from Thursday evening to Sunday morning if anyone needs it.
Good news and bad news. Bad news is the J10 won't be making the trip but the good news is I'll be bringing the JK. AC, satellite radio, cruise control, 20+MPG...really roughing it
82 J10
77 J10 Golden Eagle 401
88 GW
You know it's bad when your car is on the EPA's 10 most wanted list!
I ordered all new heim joints from ruffstuff for the Honcho today. Overnight shipping killed me, but I now have the correct parts (IMHO) to fix the steering. It keeps wallowing out one ton TRE's, so may be the heims won't be an issue...
I finally have the power steering pump working - the first reman one didn't' work for some reason, but the second one did. I need to drill/tap my new J20 steering gear for the RAM, then it's going back on. The Honcho has HORRIBLE death wobble without the RAM and the stock pump/J20 gear doesn't have nearly enough power to turn the 42's.
once that is complete, I need to weld my front driveshaft yoke (don't ask...)
I'm gonna carry those rough stuff springs with me to Ouray as spares cause I don't think I will have time to install them. (be prepared to see some leaf spring carnage...)
other than that - I'm ready to roll. Oh - I'm shooting to DRIVE the Honcho, not tow it. As Pewe says, RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG!!!

Same boat here! I was convincing myself to cut too many corners on the Money Badger in order to bring it again this year. Made the call on Tuesday to do it right, suck it up, and bring the Trailhawk again. Fortunately, I'm we're also bringing some friends that a JK, so the ladies can putz around while we take the JK on the fun stuff, and I can take the trailhawk on the non-shelf-road stuff. And best of all, I get to keep doing the Money Badger right.

3/4 resto, rotting faster than I've been fixing it.
I still have work to do and there are a few points where I can possibly fail (like emissions tests to pass) but the engine fires up and runs on Truck Norris so I'm on track for bringing it out.
I am just glad everyone seems to be showing up (even sans jeep). Normally the drop out rate is a around 10 to 20 percent.
I am still wimping out and trailering the Jeep. I want to see how well it goes so maybe next year I can do 'the ultimate'. The Ultimate is where I show up with my wife AND my jeep. (For years Krista thought my wife was either a story or my imgaination)
I just can't subject the wife to 11 or so hours (twice) in the jeep. If it didn't kill her it would ruin our marriage. Maybe if it was a bit more stockish. If I had a later model in mostly stock trim then it would be a go. Hey.!..

Do I need to bring a 89 stock GW down for her to see. LOL
We're showing up in a Mazda! We would drive the Explorer (yeah I know not even a Jeep!) But it's not licensed so a 2000 mile trip isn't the best idea. The Jeeps aren't tagged now either. Towing was our only option and the tow rig can't make the trip now so we're screwed. Disappointing but I just want to be there.
