I thought it was discussed in this thread, but I may be mistaken. From what I have read, you need a VSS on the tranny output or it will never shift out of first when in low range. The ECU will think you are going 10 mph even with the engine at 4500 rpm. Unless your ECU is programmed otherwise?

I am planning to put a 4L60E in the CJ this winter, that's why I have been doing research.

Csuengr, my wireharness and computer were custome for my application. There is a ground activated circut to let the computer know when i am in fourlow. I have this hooked up to a togle switch now. I hope to hook it to the sensor in the tcase in the future.

I would like to start by saying that this truck is ridiculous. It looks crazy long and hard to park anywhere. Secondly, It seems like it would take both sides of a divided freeway to turn it around. And i would like to end by saying, you are a genius and this is an awesome truck! You managed to take an increasingly rare truck and turn it into one of a kind that looks cool and suits your needs. I love it! Congrats on the build, and look me up when you get ready to sell! :D

Drove up Mt. Evans road, the highest paved road in the USA. It is closed to the top for the season, but we went up to summit lake which is at, 12,836 ft.
