"Russet" Interior Color Help

So I just picked up a 1980 Wagoneer that has a Russet colored. I like the color a lot. But a quick search of the main parts suppliers and ebay has me thinking that it'll be a challenge to find interior parts with this color. Luckily the dash, door panels and seats are in decent shape. However Carpet and headliner need attention at some point.

Hopefully I can find a carpet color at ACC that matches. However I don't know about the headliner. Any ideas on where I can find a matching headliner material in the Russet color??

Russet colored interior? What's your trim code?

Kinda think you won't find any aftermarket sources that are specifically coded to the "Russet" interior. This is a 40 yo Jeep, and there will be few replacement parts other than what exists in junkyards. Jeep is not a major manufacturer, and aftermarket support is limited.

Have you checked with your local automotive upholstery shop? They may be able to match the interior colors closely. Unlikely you or your local shop can look up the trim code and find a specific match to the headliner material.

Nutmeg was a popular color in 80 and 81. Maybe that is it?

No it is not Nutmeg. It's a deep ruddy red color. Like maroon with a little more brown. I have the original dealer order sheet calling out the color. Sorry I cant post a pic at the moment. I guess I'll just have to see what I can find that matches.

Russet was an interior trim option in 1980 FYI.

Maybe this was one year only option???
I guess I should have stuck with a wagoneer that had one of the common colors...

My parts book does not go newer than 1980, but Hagar's does. If you gave me the trim code from the VIN plate I could tell you that it's Russet and the type of seating (bench, buckets) but not much more. I could tell you the Jeep Corp part numbers for replacements, but that plus a dollar will buy you a cup of coffee and nothing more. Your local upholstery shop may be able to closely match the headliner and carpet. If you have the old carpets and/or headliner, they can sew up replacements using the old parts as patterns. Won't be cheap, but this kind of stuff is well within their purview.

Thanks Tim.I think the trim code is 5AW. These older vin plates and numbers appear to be a little different than the later models.

Since I have the vehicle and the original owner documentation I know that its a Cameo Tan 1980 with Russet interior. Bench seat. Am Radio, Heavy Duty Springs. Tow Package #2. 360 V8. Auto trans. Tinted Glass. It has the older style narrow woodgrain outside trim with aluminum trim strips. It has a funky, kinda cool swing-out spare tire and jerry can carrier. But unfortunately it has taken a little toll on the sheetmetal over the last 40 years.

Yes indeed, 5AW is a 1980 model 15 with a "full seat" (bench, not buckets) in Russet "Perforated Soft Feel Vinyl."

Huh... The seats look original and the color exactly matches. But the vinyl is definitely not perforated.

I have Russet Metalic/ Red exterior(two tone) and Russet interior. I constantly search for interior stuff but never have had much success. I origanly thought it was garnet and had my headliner redone...it was a close match but no cigar. I have a few Russet sun visors laying about as well as the seat inserts and vinyl. Shoot me a line if you need any info on what I found and vice versa if you find something.
