I know this thread is a bit old but were you able to pass DEQ without the Air pump? I live in Beaverton and will have to go through in March. I don't have my air pump. I have o smoke and it runs very well so I am hoping it will pass. 88GW 360

Not yet. I still have 11 month left till next DEQ, and by that time I should have MPFI and new cat :) when I went there last year, I passed with flying colors on my fourth attempt but that was with all air injection stuff still on and working.

I practically have the air injection system (new reman pump, manifolds, bolts, etc) sitting in storage - hit me up if you need anything!

If you need to pass a visual, you can remove the vanes from the pump. This fakery might be your only alternative if the visual is strict.

They don’t look under the hood in Oregon, just checking if you have the cat with a mirror

On my first attempt at DEQ tech went on Nader the hood, but only to check my idle rpm (it was insanely high)
