Are you going to undercoat or spray lining underneath the bed?
No I am actually removing all the undercoating that was on there. The under is what caused most of my rust issues, anywhere I found bubbled undercoating I found rust. The truck has always been a Colorado truck so I am not sure why the original owner got it undercoated.

Cab is primed and sanded. It should get painted tomorrow. Today I have the unsavory task of seam sealing the cab. Once the cab is done I can tuck it away and work on my nemesis known as the bed.

did you go with a single stage paint or planning to clear coat it? If I were ever going to do another daily driver, I think I'd definitely go single stage. I was okay getting the base to lay nicely, it was the clear that bit me touch ups are much easier as well.
same purpose my spare room served and still serves. guest are relegated to the couch until the jeep is done !

I’m using single stage (urethane primer/ acrylic enamel). I was looking for a factory style finish, not trying to create a show truck. Besides this was Enough of a PITA.
Luckily we have multiple spare bedrooms, our kids are grown and gone.
I have the bed almost ready to prime and paint. Then I have the hood and doors. The doors need all new rubber so they will be last since the wing windows look to be a challenge

Bed got finished sanding today, should get it into primer tomorrow depending on how I feel. Been on vacation for 2 weeks and working on the Jeep non-stop, I’m a little burned out but would like to have the bed finished and back on soon.

It laid down well in most areas, one bedside could use some more wet sanding. Trying to decide how much more I want to do. This isn't a show quality truck, it was built for a fun truck.

Smart. I broke through on clear a few times wet sanding on sharp edges. Had to re-clear. I learned a few lessons. If you're happy, stop. Consider single stage paint for a daily driver

Nutting like SS for being able to touch up sand throughs and trail rash. Unless it's metallic.
