How do you guys post videos on to build threads? Do you need to use a host site to get it on here? I took a video of my truck running today but can’t figure out how to get it on to Tapatalk.

I ordered a factory replacement seat cover for the bench seat in my truck. I got it a couple days ago. I was really busy lately but last night I was able to find some time to get it put on. It has velcro and some cord that is used to hold it on that I haven’t put on yet but it looks good for now.

Here is the link for the seat cover. It doesn’t look correct in the pictures but that’s just how the website works. You can get low back buckets or bench.

One of the easiest ways i've found is to have a youtube account and post it there. Then you can just post the link. If you dont want the video shared with the entire world...you can set it to only be viewable by folks with the link.

This is what the seat cover looks like. Turned out really nice and overall I’m really happy with it. Today I also took the seat belts out of my other truck for this truck because the seat belts were missing from this truck. I only wrecked four out of the eight bolts so that ain’t that bad considering the bolts were rusty and didn’t really want to turnImage

Well I went out and put my new lug nuts on yesterdayImage
They look pretty good. I also washed my truck just because I was bored. The white letters on the tires really pop now that the tires are clean.

I also took a picture of my truck next to my big brother’s Comanche. My truck towers over his little truckImage His truck has a 2.5 lift on 31’s and my truck has either a 4 or 6 (I’m not sure) on super bald 33’s. His truck is a 1989 jeep Comanche Sportruck. He fully restored it and put a new engine in it. He also put in the chrome grille and bumper the other day.

More progress… started working on the air intake. Image
I think it looks pretty good (of course, I’m biasedImage). I still need an air filter but it looks better now. I also put a fan on (the stock fan for the 5.3). It’s close to the air intake and the lower radiator hose (about 1/2 an inch). It didn’t take too long to do and surprisingly, I didn’t even get that dirtyImage

Well I had a bit of an oopsies today. So we are trying to diagnose why it doesn’t want to shift while it’s in drive so we had a friend over that has the equipment to diagnose it. We took it on the road (for the very first time with the 5.3 and since it’s been in my ownership), and it turns out either A, it needs a speed sensor hooked up because otherwise it’s not telling the transmission when to shift, or B, it needs a transmission solenoid. Well that’s all fine and dandy. So we pull it back in the drive way and as we come to a stop and we get out, the transmission cooler line blows. Image
It turns out the fan was wearing on the tranny cooler line and wore a hole right through it. So it dumped all of the transmission fluid onto the ground. So we got out some 3/8 steel line, cut out the chunk with the hole in it, and bent the line so that it would be well clear of the fan. I knew I should have looker closer at distance from the fan to it’s surroundingsImage. Well lesson learned I guess. And luckily it was in the driveway and not 30 miles away. And we have a better idea as to what needs to happen and it’s (hopefullyImage) not too complicated.

Wow....lucky "break" right there :)

You can form a piece of metal tubing, put inside the hose, then the hose will stay formed away from hazards like the fan.

We decided to just cut out the section of rubber hose that got worn along with a little extra, and bent up a piece of tubing to get it away from the fan. This picture was taken just after I washed the underside to get all of the atf off so it looks wet, but don’t worry, this time it’s just waterImage

But boy did she make a mess! Those are one gallon ice cream pales in the background. We sprayed some oil eater on it and then washed it away with some buckets of water. It sucks but I guess it’s part of just dealing with old vehiclesImage

Well we found and solved the issue. It turns out it was the vehicle speed sensor in the t-case. It wasn’t plugged in, and since it was a NP241C instead of the stock t-case it had the wrong plug connector so we got the correct style plug, cut the old plug off, and soldered on the new one and it’s all good to go! She runs and shifts smoothly now.

To clean off your concrete, get some concrete mix and spread it over the top 1/2" deep all over your stain and give it a week, it will be 90% gone. It doesn't work perfectly but it will get most of it. I keep a bag in the shop. It works way better than any cleaner I've tried and its cheap.

Or just put some dirt on it and let it sit.

Thanks for your comments guys! I haven’t ever heard of the pouring concrete on it trick before. I might have to try it out. Or I’ll just let mother nature wash it away
