Post by rafignirck »

Here's a little video of my 1986 GW that came back from a 75k restoration by "Phil's Wagoneers" aka "The Motor Masters".
The video will be marked "Exhibit A" in what is to follow.

Wow, I am sorry for you. I've had work done that wasn't right, it's frustrating. But getting a restored Waggy delivered in that condition must be extremely frustrating and really disappointing.

Me too.

With the small amount of work I paid to have done in my kitchen, in hope of saving some time, I can only begin to know how you feel. Weatherstripping not even removed for paint!

Unfortunately, it's $75,000

I love the color.

But saddened by the issues :(

That sucks. Having a hand in the aftermarket modification industry that stuff really gets under my skin. I have a local big name restorer that is that is nothing short of a crook and people travel here from all over the world to have them do work, its sad.
The bus I ride is so short it is a yellow Smart Car full of squirrels, monkeys and clowns.

Same Here. After $26k in I had to pull it and take it to another shop. I wish I could figure out a way to warn people. Especially with Jeep Beach 2022 in a couple weeks.

Man, I'm so sorry for you. I went through a similar deal with a large closet to bathroom conversion. All I had to fix after the "expert" was done was the sheetrock, the electrical (both switches and lighting), paint, tile, and the plumbing.

This doesn't help with what you've got now, but I'd document everything and get an attorney.
