Hey FSJ Peeps,

New to owning a FSJ, and brought home my first this past weekend -

1984 Grand Wagoneer - 401 ci (to be verified)

Auto

4 inch high arch springs

Not a woody (think it was one of the '84's that wood trim was opted out that year)

Looking forward to getting "Pig" revived and back on the road.

Will get details loaded as I go, but all mechanicals look like it was just parked some 10 yrs or so back, then not driven again.

Starting with verifying what I actually have, get some electric to it and see if I can roll the windows up tight, go through the treasure trove of other parts and paperwork that came with it.

My biggest thing I need to find is a TSM. I checked Oljeep.com, but only 6 updates there, so looking for any all pdf/printed material I can get, to be able to work on the truck properly.

Seems you can only have a pic the size of a pin head to upload......growing pains are the pits

Well....found my first big lead on a Service Manual.
That will be my first big purchase on Pig.

Heard if you tell them you are a member of the FSJ Network Forum, there is a little discount.

Welcome to the site! I am glad you found and FSJ and found our little corner of the web. You'll find it a great place for info and encouragement.

Your waggy never came with a 401 but one could be swapped in. My 83 had a 401 that I swapped in. Can't tell from the top, have to look at the block.

Posting pics I find is easier if you like to a hosting site. I used to use photobucket but now I use IMGUR.

BJ's is a wonderful resource. I just received an order from them today. Some of the folks here also do aftermarket stuff that is pretty cool, check out the vendors section.

Thanks, and I am very active with the Jeep CJ Forum with my '81 CJ5, so looking to do the same here on FSJ Forum.

I think I just need to get my posting count up to ??, so I can post pics.

What I have tried, even my avatar pic, says file too big, so I need to figure out here to get pics posted.

I have a build thread on the Jeep Forum - FSJ threads, with same title as this one, and want to try and get same pics put on this one.

You need to reduce the size of your pics to upload to the site. I email them from my phone and down size them that way but there are a lot of other ways to do that too. Tapatalk is one along with using a hosting site.

Here’s a link to the picture posting instructions.

Ok, I bounced around earlier trying to get a pic to work, with pixels less than required and still would not work.

I will try again and see if I can get it soon. A couple tries

Thanks

Ok, size limit is 768 kb per image, and I am trying to drop in or attach file a 274 kb image.

I think I am still on need authorization list as a new member, so pics won't load.

I will contact admin as a build thread without pics is no fun at all!

Been sitting for about 10 years, in the AZ desert on a dirt storage lot, so plenty of work to do to keep this old fart busy for awhile :)

And more pics.

Going to go through Pig this weekend and see about getting electric windows rolled up tight, then verify PO says it has a 401 engine, ID axles, auto trans, transfer case, and find the electric fuel pump as the mechanical has been bypassed.
