Re: FSJ Rebuild

I'm pretty sure '79 or '80 was the first year that two mirrors were standard on them, so the mirror doesn't surprise me too much. The antenna is still weird to me though lol

I've been wondering about doing the Jag stuff to mine too. I have the standard Jeep ones rn, but no wires are connected or anything, as I don't have a switch for it. I just want something I can get a switch for, and adjust
'71 Wagoneer (DD)
-B350 (HEI, iron 4-barrel, Edelbrock 1406), TH400, D20
-'74 D44 front (nonpower discs)
-custom headliner
-Front shoulder belts (rears eventually)

With great optimism comes great frustration from those who don't fabricate the bandwagon they jump on, as well as a responsibility to make sure the bandwagon is strong enough when others start jumping on it.

I have a nice FSJ power and JAG power mirror and depending on the year the bases are that much different if at all.

I made it home for a few weeks and managed to get some stuff put together, i mounted the skyjacker 4" springs, rebuilt axles, brake lines, fuel lines and tank, rear disc brakes and E-Stopp electric emergency brake system. Main body was dropped off at the body shop.

My AMC 401 was completed on the lower end at .030 with Wiseco forged pistons and the Edelrock Heads and Pro Flow 4 will be put on while I'm away again. Coming together slowly but it's happening!

Thanks! It's getting there and it's been fun so far, I looked around for anyone that built suspensions in my area and there just aren't any that do three and four point and my time was limited, I think the Skyjacker leafs will be a nice ride at the end of the day. I was also able to build some mounts for JK mirrors on the doors by welding 4" exhaust pipe threw the door to the backside for a good support, turned out great! Decided the color also, Copperhead Pearlcoat [Orange]. I know it's not factory from that era but it's a nice Jeep color and my wife chose it (I wanna stay married). She's been pretty good about all of this!
