RIP Riverbeast

Post by Grand_Wag_85 »

I just saw through Facebook that Todd, a.k.a. River Beast on the forums has passed away.

Although I haven’t seen him online for some time he was a highly active member on IFSJA in the early 2000s and a pioneer of the spring over axle swap on the full-size jeep.

Rest in peace, sir.

Bummer, RIP Todd and sympathy to his family.

Hope that he found the shortcut to all the wheeling you can do without breaking anything and the gas gauge never reads empty!

Well Crap! He was like one of the 'original' build guys back when the sport was taking off and the internet allowed us to share information. RIP buddy.

Wow, really sad :(

I, like many of the other old timers, loved watch Todd build River Beast through all the iterations that it had. It was easily the most well known FSJ in the early 2000's.

My thoughts go out to has family. Semper Fi Todd.

Oh no! I read a lot of his stuff over on IFSJA--seemed like an awesome guy with a lot of info.

There are 2 major differences between new Wranglers and FSJs. FSJs are meant to be both utilitarian and capable, not just capable. FSJs are also rarely initially recognized as Jeeps by the average American.
