Just got in and pic's loaded.
Met up with Tad and Martin at 6am on Tanque Verde rd. After standard pleasantry's we head east to Reddington rd. They have now paved up to about mile 3 the on to dirt till mile marker 17 and we took a left. This is the start of the north end of the trail.
8 Miles threw the canyons and river bottoms to the main road. Since heading west we got big red to our backs it was a bit&^ driving the first 17 miles. this was the first real shake down for the season and things are going good. Martin did great in his stock rig , however he has his first desert wounds .The trail was quite over grown but that's okay with us we have no paint. I had a tree limb hanging from the rack for awhile until I hit the next tree. Nice trail for the first 3miles couple tech spots but all did well. The last hill out is long and off camber and lose Tad went first , followed by Martin and myself a third the way up it happened Martin's rig vaper locked not good, I ain't backing down. Martin got his rig off to the side enough to let me pass and it was go time to the top.
This hill has been my nemesis for 10 years I dis like up hill. The off camber and turn at the top is well fun. The rest of the trail is ridge road and okay. We stopped at the bolder field for some play time then off to the ranch road and home. Or not Martin vapor locked again and the wait was on to he cooled down. We all made it out and had a great time , it did get hot out there but at least we got to start our wheeling season.
Good Morning Tucson FSJ's
Martin stay behind the bigger rigs or the trail
Great day wheeling even with the heat coming down on us mid day, this is about a 3.5 trail with lift.
