Hydroboost hoses

Post by csuengr »

Quick question. Which hoses do I need for hydroboost? As in part #'s or vehicle. Thanks

When I did my hydro boost conversion I just used the stock hoses that came out of the donor vehicle with the exception of the high pressure hose that runs from the booster to the steering box. The booster has the o ring fittings while my steering box has standard flare. I had a custom hose made at a local parts store. It wasn't expensive. A little back ground. I have a 69 Waggy and the booster came out of a Chevy 1 ton, late 90's I believe. I got the booster, master cylinder, power steering pump, hoses and cooler from the wrecking yard. For me it was a rather simple conversion. Sorry I don't have part numbers or exact years.

Pretty much the same here.
I drew up a quick diagram showing where they needed to start and stop and a local radiator shop made them for me.
$12, maybe $14 each.

Well, I found them. From an 1989 C3500. NOT K3500. Those won't work.
