Anyone have a good source for master rebuild kits? Are some better than others? Are the Chinese kits worse than the American kits etc.? Price is a concern as well.

Subscribed as I need to know the same thing. The waggy needs cam bearings...

I don't think I would go chinese...

Maybe one from the local Napa?

I bought mine from Promar on EBay. Name brand parts and super price!

I have never rebuilt an AMC engine, but I have used Napa kits in the past (not recently however). They have always worked out fine without any issues. But I have no clue if their Ford and GM rebuild kits match their AMC kits.

My machinist is the guy I get my kits from. He knows where to get the good ones. But then again Ive worked with him for over 10 years.

Thanks for the info so far. I looked on the Napa website and didn't see a kit but I am sure if I went into a store they could probably find it.

Blake, I found this ad locally but not sure what I would be getting.

Ad doesn't say what sized bearings or what not. Are bearings sizes something you can order when you buy the kit? Inquiring minds want to know....
