No brake lights

Is there a mechanical switch that activates the brake lights? The reartail lights and turn signal lights work, but no brake lights. Any ideas where I should start?

There is a switch under the dash that's is depressed by the brake peddle. It's either bad or the wires going to it are the issue most likely.

I thought that might be the case. I'll take a peek at it tonight when I get home. The Brake Idiot light on the dash is also on all the time. Which is weird because the brakes work just fine after we replaced the shoes and wheel cylinders in the rear. The pedal is nice and firm after bleeding.

Or the prop valve isn't working correctly.

That makes PERFECT sense. We just replaced the trans so we had the Ebrake Cables all disconnected. I am betting my son got the cable adjusted a tad to tight when he reinstalled them.

Not sure having them adjusted wrong would do it. It goes off the peddle location. It has a similar button to the normal brake peddle.

Ah ok. I will have him look at it to make sure. I am betting something came disconnected or is adjusted to tight.

The switch for the Ebrake light is not quite like the rear brake light switch. It is easy for the Ebrake switch to get loose and not make contact with the Ebrake pedal.
