I bought this shortly after signing on to the mother board in 2003. Drove it home from NJ with no more problems than the headlights flickering on and off about 100 miles from home. I've since drove it to CA, NM,PA, twice to FL, IN, MI and all the states in between. Been a great truck and finally got the motor rebuilt for it. and have hardly driven it since. Bad wreck and tons of gremlins and life perils. I'm finally getting back around to it.
Bringing my Chero home from San Mateo, CA. This Chero is why in the other thread about my 77 it had a car trailer in tow when it broke down. I returned out west with the J20 to get this Chero. .

I refuse to give up on my 2 J trucks. They are what I live for literally. They have survived the divorce fall out, the death of 5 close family members and 4 attacks from the zoning Nazi's. If all goes well they will be on the road this winter and the T Bird and F350 will have found a new home.
Here is what the J20 looks like now. There is a utility bed about ready to install on it. The bed and topper went to Lima Ohio a couple of months ago, for a restore and a new life.

Just an update since last summer. Both trucks are still inops. My J20 attacked my F350 shortly after returning from Ouray last year. Guess the J20 was upset about being left behind so it broke loose and rolled out the driveway and T Boned the F350 hard.
Luckily it waited to do this when the F350 was in front of it instead of my neighbors new car across the street which would of been the target if not for the F350. To think it sat in the driveway while I was gone for 3 weeks like that before the rear caliper broke free and sent it rolling.
The F350 needed new mirror, about 5 hours of prying and jacking to get the door to operate. It bent the pillar between the front and rear door so the rear door is screwed also. Most of it cannot be seen now except the J20 which has a new scar or 3.

Its amazing how the aluminum bumper never shows much of any damage. I got into an accident in my J10 many years ago, and while the civic got smashed, my aluminum bumper had no damage at all.
Maybe the J20 was jealous the J10 was getting a ride on the trailer at the time.
