Man, i sure appreciate help!!

Thanks for that link!

I think that's the mod I referenced in a previous post.

I went to O'Reilies (sp?) this afternoon and they have a switch they can order that looks like the right one with a 2 prong output.

Meanwhile, a quick search turned up 2 pics...

One of each mounting style:

I'll try the mod'd idea first, then I'll the local auto part version if the mod version doesn't work.

The pic on the bottom is the exact set of switches I matched to the QT one. They were to wide to clear the case bolt on the QT, but the QT switch is smaller and is one prong, self grounding. ;)

Keep us informed.

That's good to know, Jaber!

I will put part numbers up for sure!

I need to make sure my case is threaded for these switches. I did not even think to check! Lol

40 degrees and sunny on the eve of Christmas Eve!?! Cleaning the "new" (to me) front bumper.

Sneak peak of the center console:

Now to polish the chrome and slap it all back together.

Edit:

I was able to install the glove box door , clock and mock up the center console before I put that back together.

Image

I did disassemble two 3 peice bumpers, one for the panel, the other for the truck- cleaned the backside and then painted the backsides and then I under coated them.

Well the console carpet is done. I went a bit longer on it than stock. That made the transfer case side fun to deal with for fitting.

Right shade of grey? I dunno, it seems to balance out the crazy orange!

Thanks, it's growing on me, too. :)

I might have to go back and alter the kick panels (black) and the door panels (black and burnt orange). But maybe not. Three colors on those panels doesn't sit we'll with me- too much to look at.

Alright, the 62 Willys wagon is here. So I had to make some room in an already cluttered garage. So, the plan was to hang the set of wagoneer barn doors (a weird and long story on the set of spare panel delivery doors) on the top wall didn't work out so well... So I settled on hanging them a bit lower. I got a wild hair and hung modified Christmas lights where the license plate light, tail lights and brake lights go. I wired them to come on with the overhead lights, too. I have the lenses for the reverse lights, but couldn't find them in time for the pic.

It made enough room to stash the 62!

Hey, thanks Rstep, Jagged. I am on the downhill stretch... but that is a long one with the amount of body work needed to get the exterior done! :o

Jaber, I got them for just that reason... back when I had my 77 Waggie w/ a 401. Then some knuckle head destryed my dash to steal my Krap-0, er Krako (sp?) stereo and it was just never the same. So now, they're wall art- it would take a ton of body work to bring 'em back to usable condition anyway.

You are probably right.

I got them from a guy who lived in Addy, Washington in Steven's County. It's about 2 hours north of where I live. He was a logger and a car hauler. I showed up at his place in response to a 77 wagoneer with a 401. He saw my truck and then proceeded to take me on a set of winding switchbacks up the side of a mountain where he kept all the cars he was scrapping. In the middle of all these other smashed rigs sat the elusive cave and home of Sasquatch, commonly known as Bigfoot. I now know it was actually a 64 4 door jeep wagoneer panel delivery. It looked like it had been stump jumped and rolled up and down the very mountain we just came up. Once I got past the animal hair and cave stench of the jeep, I asked if he would just sell the doors... As we ran from the family of Satsquatches coming back to reclaim their cave, he said, "yep".
So, long story short, I bought the 77 and the doors to put them on the 77. I eventually sold the 77 and the doors, but like a baby Bigfoot back to it's daddy, I managed to get the doors back. The waggie never came back home.

Here's a few pics of the 77. Sadly, I did not get any pics of the Sasquatch family, or the equally elusive 4 door panel.

Of course, I did not find it that way. ;)

Meanwhile, here's the backside of the 62... Going to get mothballed for now.

It came in several pieces, with rusty floors, also with extra parts- but complete minus the engine, tranny and t case. The price was too good to pass up- he even delivered it from Colville, WA.

This build is awhile out, but you buy 'em when they're for sale and cheap, right? It will be my last build, though. Four's plenty to maintain.
