Don't get me wrong, Money Badger will be ready, well on track with the new mods! But I've started to build something else. (Ok, I just supplied half the blue prints).
The thing that makes this year special is that my better half intends to join me on this adventure to meet all of you. I don't think I could subject my unborn progeny to 600 miles in what is essentially a 40 year old off road monster with jump worthy suspension and no A/C though. Some strange voice inside my head says it's a bad idea. So, we'll be there, but most likely in the ZJ!
EDIT>>>Or possibly a Renegade. We're looking to trade the Honda Fit here soon..

I have no idea what the AP is, why is it worrisome? The ultrasound (the "inside" kind, not the "jelly on the belly" kind) was taken at 9weeks 2 days and the doctor lady said everything looks normal and healthy. She didn't get a screen grab of it, but at one point we could see the little arm and leg stubs, and we could see the heartbeat the whole time.

Congratulations! I was in almost the exact same position as you a year ago. This year, my lil sidekick is already hanging out with me under the Jeep! You are going to have so much fun.

Hey Matt, congratulations to you both. You can now say you are contributing to the contamination of the planet, I did it a few time and each time was a blessing. Bring them on over by the fire too.
Thanks guys! I'm really excited! My sister just had a baby in February so the whole family is already baby crazy and I think that puts us at perfect timing to get a bunch of hand-me-downs, haha! Rhainnon (my amazing lady) wasn't able to come last year due to being part of a wedding in Oregon, and the year before she was working on-site at an oil spill in Arkansas. This year we knew she had to come with me and meet all my crazy Jeep friends!
This last winter she finally realized that a Honda Fit isn't the right car for Denver at all, or Colorado in general. The front bumper is only 8" off the ground so with 10" of snow it plows. Also our roads here are rough. Potholes you can fit a basketball in are everywhere and a lot of the roads we have to travel (like Alameda between Sheridan and Broadway) just beat the heck out of the Fit. Also it's tiny and low to the ground, so loading a baby in the back is going to be a lot of hunching over.
What we really like about the Honda Fit is that EVERYTHING we've had to stuff in it...Fits, haha! Also, when we go to the Lower highlands or Downtown, parking is easy because, again... it Fits (see what I'm doing there?). I've had my eye on the Renegade ever since I first saw the leaked photos, and having driven quite a few Fiat 500s I like the way Fiat builds cars. Over the last year I've worn her down so this weekend we're going to test drive a Renegade and a new Cherokee. The Cherokee may be a better "fit", since with a baby in tow I don't think we'll be heading Downtown except on weekend mornings when parking isn't a problem anyway, and the Cherokee might be significantly easier to load a baby into being that it's higher. They both spec at EPA 31mpg highway and the price for either in base 4x4 w/auto is about the same, around $23K. We'll see how it goes!

the 77? The AC hasn't been serviced since 1982. Even then, imagine it's your unborn child. Between endometiosis and, 28 rem of ionizing radiation the baby shouldn't even be there. I know you're young, but that's not a dig against you. I've met you and you are a cool dude! But your age robs you of some perspective. The fact that Rhiannon made it this far with nothing out of the ordinary is nothing short of a miracle. I'd go to Ouray in a Chrysler Town&County just for this opportunity!
